100% cotton. Monk's cloth has a distinctive texture weave: four vertical and four horizontal threads creating a block. By slipping yarn behind the blocks of vertical threads at prescribed intervals a design can be created. The design created is called Monk's Cloth Weaving or Swedish Weaving. Monk's cloth is also a preferred cloth for stitched afghans and tree skirts where translating a design to a larger scale is done quickly and easily.
